Carte blanche to the Cinéfondation
An unreleased programme of Cinéfondation films at the Festival de Cannes will be presented by their directors at the Reflet Médicis in Paris from Wednesday June 18 to Tuesday June 23 at 6pm.In 1998, the Festival de Cannes created the Cinéfondation to support cinematic creation throughout the world and prepare the new generation of filmmakers.
The Cinéfondation, at its beginnings a selection of student films, has developed implemented complementary initiatives to better achieve its goal: the Residence (screenwriting aid) and the Atelier (putting filmmakers into contact with international producers).
Wednesday 18 June (6pm) : award-winning films of the Selection
The Cinéfondation Prizes, awarded to the best film school works from around the world, were handed out at Cannes by the official jury, presided by the Taiwanese director Hou Hsiao Hsien.
